uReview Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) takes the privacy of everyone whose personal information we handle seriously.  This Privacy Policy explains how we use, collect and store personal information.  It should be read in conjunction with the Terms of Service that apply to our Clients' use of the Application.

1. What personal information do we collect? 

If you are a Client, we collect the personal information you provide to us when you register to use the Application and maintain your account.  We also collect any personal information which you include in the information you choose to upload to the Application, whether about you or any other person.

If you are an Appraisal Participant, we collect the information that our Client has given us about you, the information you provide (such as your sign in and account details) and your appraisal responses.

We may also collect technical information whenever you log onto the Application, Mobile App or visit our public website.  This may include information about the way users arrive at, browse through and interact with our public website, Application or Mobile App (“Technical Information”).  We may collect this type of technical information through the use of cookies and other means.

You are not required to provide us with any personal information, although in some cases if you choose not to do so then we will be unable to administer your account, make the Application or Mobile App available to you or gather your views in respect of an Appraisal.

2. Information about other people

If you wish to upload any personal information about other people to the Application, you must first contact them and obtain their consent.  Where you are an Appraisal Participant who has been asked by a Client to complete an Appraisal about another person, you may assume that the Client has obtained that person’s consent to the collection of this information.

3. How do we use personal information?

We may use personal information for any of the following purposes:

a. storing, analysing, comparing, displaying and making information available through the Application;

b. account administration and billing;

c. making advertising or marketing information available to you through the Application, Mobile App or the public website;

d. contacting you with information or offers about our products or services; and

e. operating, maintaining and improving the Application, the Mobile App and our public website.

Generally our Client controls the processing of personal information that Appraisal Participants provide.  The Client chooses the Appraisal questions, collates and analyses the data and may download and retain such data at its discretion.  In these cases we hold your personal information on behalf of the Client as its agent.  For information about how the Client processes such personal information or to update or correct your details, you should contact the Client directly.

The exception to this is for Anonymous Appraisals, where we will control the processing of personal information ourselves and only provide the Client with aggregated data which does not include your name and contact details linked to your Appraisal responses.

We use the Technical Information we collect to have a better understanding of the way people use our public website, Application and/or Mobile App, to improve the way they work and to personalise them to be more relevant and useful to your or our Client’s particular needs.  We may also use this information to assist in making any advertising we display on the public website more personalised and applicable to your interests.

4. When do we disclose personal information?

Generally, we do not disclose personal information to third parties for them to use for their own purposes.  However, some of the circumstances in which we may do this are set out below.

We may disclose personal information to service providers and others working with us to make the Application, the Mobile App and the public website available or to improve or develop its functionality.  For example, we may use a third party supplier to host the public website and the information collected by the Application or Mobile App.

We may also disclose personal information to one of our related companies (as defined in the Companies Act 1993) or to a third party in connection with the purchase (or proposed purchase) of all or a significant part of our shares, business or assets.

5. Do we use cookies?

Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information

We use cookies to keep track of advertisements and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies via your browser settings. Like most websites, if you turn your cookies off, some of our services may not function properly. However, you can still place orders over the telephone.

6. Storage of your personal information

We may store your personal information on the servers of our service provider, which are located in Brea, California.

7. Your rights

You have the right to request access to and correction of any of the personal information we hold about you.  If you would like to exercise these rights, please email either the applicable Client or us directly in respect of Anonymous Appraisals at

We may add to, remove or change the provisions of this Privacy Policy from time to time.  All additions and changes will be notified to you by being posted on this page.  It is your responsibility to refer to these additions and changes.

9. Glossary 

In this privacy policy the following terms have the meanings indicated:

“Anonymous Appraisal” means an Appraisal which the Client has selected (using the Application) before it is carried out will be an “Anonymous Appraisal” and which is accordingly notified to the Survey Participant as an “Anonymous Appraisal”.

“Application” means the appraisal and analysis tool known as “uReview” as updated from time to time by uReview in its discretion and made available via the Site as part of the Services.

“Appraisal” means a series of questions for Appraisal Participants created by the Client using the Application that may be related to a review of a specific employee’s performance, a general employee survey, a survey of customers or other matters.  Appraisal Participants can respond to those questions using the Mobile App or by logging on to the Application at the Site.

“Appraisal Participant” means a person (who may bean employee or customer of the Client ) selected by the Client to participate in an Appraisal.

“Client” means the person or organisation which has registered to receive the Services from us and who has been accepted as a client by uReview. If you are an Appraisal Participant, the Client will be known to you and may be your employer or your service provider.

“Mobile App” means the uReview mobile application that can be downloaded from the app stores notified by uReview which enables Appraisal Participants to complete Appraisals on their handheld devices.
